I love living in Puerto Vallarta because it lies right in the middle of the beautiful and BIG Bay of Banderas. Did you know that our bay is the second largest in the world? Needless to say, there is a lot of exploring to be done while spending time in Puerto Vallarta. One of my favorite little towns to the north is Bucerias. Pronounced Boo-Say-Ree-us, this coastal gem is located just 45 minutes north of downtown PV in the state of Nayarit.
For those looking for a slower pace of life, less traffic, and quieter beaches, Bucerias is definitely worth a day trip to explore. While you wont find any shopping malls, movie theaters, or bix box stores, Bucerias has a fabulous main street that runs parallel to the ocean where there is an endless array of boutiqe hotels, delicious restaurants and cafes, quaint shopping options, and gorgeous art galleries.
This pictoresque town is also famous for its world class wind. This unique attribute attracts many athletes who practice various water sports. Sailing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding are a few of the most popular past-times that residents and toursits enjoy on Bucerias beaches. Spring time is the peak season for these sports. So pull up your beach chair and cooler, and get ready to be a spectator in one of the most beautiful places on earth!
Of course, Bucerias offers incredible real estate opportunities as well. This up and coming area boasts beachfronts condos (just a few!) as well as some great rural and suburban options. If you prefer a small-town feel, please contact me! I love to connect my clients with the towns, nwighborhoods, and lifestyles that will truly fit them best!
